EROLLE LINUS T. MIRANDA
A product from Xavier University Ateneo de Cagayan where he studied Development Communication. His affair with theatre started way back in 1991. Though he has always been a theatre arts aficionado in his younger years, Miranda has drawn inspiration from his Ateneo drama and speech mentors like Fr. George Hofileña S.J., Fr. Guy Guibelondo S.J and Mr. Jay Rey Alovera. From then on, he has joined community-based theatre groups in his hometown in Cagayan de Oro City, one of which is Pasundayag Theatre Company headed by its Artistic Director Mr. Mozart Pastrano. In 1997, Miranda has been granted by Pasundayag to join a theatre arts camp facilitated by the Cultural Center of the Philippines resident theatre: Tanghalang Pilipino, with its Director Nonon Padilla and actors Ms. Irma Adlawan-Marasigan and Ms. Olga Natividad.
Another theatre group was that of the Kalambagohan Repertory, Inc.(K-Rep), a community-based theatre group. In K-Rep, he had the opportunity to work with Cagayan de Oro’s finest veteran thespians with the likes of Director Enrico Lluch, Actor-Choreographer Tatit Fajardo, Palanca Awardee Ametta Suarez Taguchi and Mr. Eddie Villaranda. With these theatre groups, Miranda has then furthered his craft and has performed, managed, designed and lighted quite a number of productions. Of which are Pasundayag's Adios Papa! , an adaptation of Wilfrido Ma. Guerrero's Forsaken House; Rene Villanueva's Kaaway sa Sulod and Eve Ensler's The Vagina Monologues. For Kalambagohan Repertory: Ametta Suarez Taguchi's Mga Babayeng Buhat; Bitoon sa Amihanan: The Life Story of the Patron Saint of Cagayan de Oro, St. Augustine; Ang Federasyon a Cebuano translation of Dr. Paul Dumol's Ang Paglilitis ni Mang Serapio. For Development Communication Theatre Class : Kwadradong Paraiso a cebuano translation of Dr. Orlando Nadre's Paraisong Parisukat. In 2000, he became the Artistic Director and Founder of Maskara Theatre Guild. Miranda participated in the Kilos Sining Program 2003 of The Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA) and took up Filipino Improvisational Theater course. He recently attended the Musical Theatre Production training on Vincent de Jesus' Karaoke Dreams at the PETA Theatre Center. A thespian by heart, a development worker, an environmentalist, visual artist, graphic designer, a speech coach, an adjudicator for speech competitions, a communications consultant.
